<div id="details-info"> <dl> <dt><h2>Position Summary</h2></dt> <dd> <p></p> <div></div> <br><p id="isPasted">Pitt Community College is seeking an experienced and strategic <strong>Director of Infrastructure Support</strong> to oversee the management and operations of three critical IT areas: Enterprise Solutions, Application Programming, and Network Services. Reporting directly to the CIO, the Director ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of the institution’s IT infrastructure, both on-premise and in the cloud.</p> <p>This position plays a key role in developing and executing technology strategies, supporting institutional goals, and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.</p> <p></p> </dd> <dt><h2>Essential Job Duties</h2></dt> <dd> <p></p> <p id="isPasted"><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Oversee management of Enterprise Solutions, including on-premise and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and hosted systems such as Ellucian Colleague, Element451, Etrieve, NelNet, TracCloud, HelioCampus, and LibraryPass).</li> <li>Supervise the Manager of Application Programming and team, overseeing development and support in IIS, APIs, Etrieve Content and Central, and Entrinsik Informer tools.</li> <li>Supervise the Manager of Network Services and team, managing wired/wireless networks, telephony, fax systems, and infrastructure security (including next-gen firewalls).</li> <li>Ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security through proactive monitoring, management, and optimization.</li> <li>Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and implement technology strategies aligned with institutional priorities.</li> <li>Provide direct support to the CIO in IT project planning, execution, and reporting.</li> <li>Develop and maintain policies and procedures for IT operations and cybersecurity.</li> <li>Manage budgets and allocate resources for infrastructure support teams.</li> <li>Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep PCC’s IT infrastructure competitive and secure.</li> <li>Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks such as GLBA, HIPAA, CIS Controls, NIST 800-53, and PCI.</li> <li>Develop, test, and maintain Business Continuity and Incident Response plans.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Why Join PCC?</strong></p> <p>At Pitt Community College, our mission is to <strong>educate and empower people for success.</strong> As Director of Infrastructure Support, you will lead a critical area of IT operations, ensuring our campus technology remains secure, reliable, and future-ready—while directly shaping the digital experience for students, faculty, and staff.</p> <p></p> </dd> <dt><h2>Additional Information</h2></dt> <dd> <p></p> <p id="isPasted"><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).</li> <li>Minimum of 4 years of IT infrastructure management experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of server infrastructure, cloud services, application development, and network management.</li> <li>Experience with <strong>AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and enterprise-level cloud services.</strong> </li> <li>Demonstrated leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.</li> <li>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li> <li>Experience with budget planning and resource allocation.</li> <li>Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements.</li> </ul> <p></p> </dd> </dl> </div>
