This role oversees on-premise and virtual server environments, cloud-based services in AWS and Azure, enterprise applications, web platforms, and backup/disaster recovery solutions.</p> <p>The Assistant Director plays a critical role in ensuring system reliability, security, and compliance with industry standards, while collaborating with other IT teams to deliver seamless, secure, and efficient technology services across the institution.</p> <p></p> </dd> <dt><h2>Essential Job Duties</h2></dt> <dd> <p></p> <p id="isPasted"><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage and mentor a team supporting on-premise servers, VMware-based virtual environments, and cloud infrastructures in AWS and Azure.</li> <li>Oversee and maintain enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Rubrik).</li> <li>Support and administer enterprise applications including Microsoft 365, SoftDocs Etrieve, and Element451.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with information security standards and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Develop and enforce policies and procedures for enterprise solutions and information security.</li> <li>Collaborate with other IT units to ensure system integration and institutional support.</li> <li>Monitor system performance, conduct troubleshooting, and ensure high availability of enterprise systems.</li> <li>Assist with the development and testing of Business Continuity and Incident Response plans.</li> <li>Provide regular performance, security, and project status reports to the Director of Infrastructure Support.</li> <li>Contribute to IT strategic planning, projects, and system upgrades.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Why Join PCC?</strong></p> <p>At Pitt Community College, we are committed to educating and empowering people for success.
