Position Title: Teacher/Instructional Assistant
Reports To: Principal and Teacher/Bus Supervisor
Term of Employment: 10 Months (School Year Calendar)
Supervises: No one
Performance Evaluation: Performance to be evaluated annually by the school principal and the bus supervisor
Education/Qualifications: Associate's Degree or 2 years (min. 48 semester hrs.) of higher education
Computer Skills
Must be eligible for school bus driver's license (CDL).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Instructional Support
- Assist teachers in delivering small-group instruction.
- Reinforce classroom lessons and learning activities under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Utilize technology and instructional resources to enhance student learning.
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, buses, and during school activities.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment.
- Monitor student behavior and implement school-wide expectations and procedures.
- Respond appropriately to student needs and emergencies.
- Help ensure the physical safety and emotional well-being of all students.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, specialists, administrators, and other support staff.
- Participate in professional learning and staff meetings as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding student needs and progress.
- Support school initiatives and contribute positively to the school culture.
- Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements or be willing to obtain one upon employment.
- Serve as a substitute bus driver as needed to ensure the safe transportation of students.
- Maintain all required certifications and training related to school bus operation.
- Assist with arrival, dismissal, and other school-wide duties.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
