TIMS Data Manager
Report To: Transportation Coordinating Supervisor and TIMS Coordinator
Term of Employment: 12 Months
Pay Grade: 8
Performance Evaluation: Performance is to be evaluated annually by the Transportation Coordinating Supervisor and TIMS Coordinator
Education/Qualifications
Manages and maintains the multiple databases of the TIMS (Transportation Information Management System), including:

Education/Qualifications
- High school graduate/equivalent or higher degree;
- Preferred associate degree or higher in business administration/computer science/ or other similar major or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;
- The ability to work independently of others and communicate effectively;
- Experience with computer systems and data entry;
- Windows experience preferred;
- The ability and desire to learn the Transportation Information Management System (TIMS) software;
- Knowledge of School Bus Traffic & Safety and the county street network; Efficient written and verbal communication.
Manages and maintains the multiple databases of the TIMS (Transportation Information Management System), including:
- Geocoding
- Student data system extraction of the Powerschool student demographic information for the entire school district student population.
- Transportation data that describes the daily operations of the school bus fleet.
- Serve as system administrator for the TIMS computer files, performing necessary backups and computer file maintenance.
- Regularly perform updates to the TIMS student file (Mondays and Wednesdays) from the Powerschool student information management system for the school district.
- Develop, edit, and maintain bus stop, run, and route records in TIMS according to state policies.
- Print transportation and student reports as well as maps for district personnel.
- Support and maintain communications with the TIMS coordinator, central office administration, school level administrators, bus drivers, and state transportation personnel.
- Gather and evaluate information pertaining to streets, addresses, speed, and direction of travel, etc., and enter this information into the TIMS geographic modules.
- Plan and evaluate exceptional children's transportation needs with the TIMS Coordinator and Transportation Coordinator.
- Provide administrative support for EC transportation program, as needed.
- Perform any other duties as prescribed by the Transportation Director or TIMS Coordinator.
- At times may require unusual work hours during emergency, inclement weather or situations that affect school transportation operations.
