Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Technician to join our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing technical operations, ensuring quality service delivery, and providing guidance to technicians. The Lead AV Technician is responsible for overseeing the installation, configuration, and commissioning of audio-visual systems. This role requires advanced technical skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to quality and efficiency. The Lead Technician ensures that all work meets company standards, project specifications, and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians in the field, providing training on best practices and safety protocols.
- Conduct installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform tasks efficiently and safely.
- Troubleshoot software and computer hardware issues to ensure optimal performance of systems.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.
- Manage cabling installations, ensuring proper routing and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical systems (E & I) with a focus on low voltage applications.
- Strong background in field service operations with hands-on experience using hand tools.
- Proficiency in software troubleshooting and computer hardware maintenance.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and technical documentation is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, along with experience in cabling installations.
