Orthopaedics East & Sports Medicine is looking for Part-time MRI Technologists for various shifts during the week and weekend. We are looking for evening hours and flexible days for part-time and consistent weekend coverage.

Evening Hours: 4:30pm-8pm Monday - Thursday - $46 an hour

Weekend Hours: 9am-3pm - Saturday & Sunday - $58 an hour

We are considering multiple people if needed to fill our scheduling requirements.

Position Summary:

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing routine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures under the direction of radiologists and in accordance with established protocols. This entry-level role emphasizes patient care, safety, image quality, and teamwork within the imaging department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform MRI exams in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.

· Ensure patient safety by screening for contraindications and explaining procedures.

· Operate MRI equipment and related computer systems to acquire diagnostic images.

· Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions or complications.

· Prepare and maintain imaging records, ensuring accuracy in PACS and EMR systems.

· Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the MRI suite and equipment.

· Support compliance with regulatory standards (ACR, OSHA, HIPAA).

· Assist with patient scheduling and follow-up communication as needed.

Qualifications:

· ARRT (MR) certification or ARRT (R) with MRI registry eligibility required.

· Completion of an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program.

· BLS certification required.

· Excellent patient care and communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods and assist in patient transfers. Lift and move equipment and patients, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
