Business Development Manager

Job Summary

  • Direct and Manage the Sales/Delivery of MBG products with all On Premise (Fountain, BTG, Minges Select & Lipton Brewed Tea) and Full-Service customers within the MBG territory assigned.
  • Position reports to the Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities

    • Execute MBG promotions in the On Premise/Full-Service business channel
    • Maintain Customer Service Expectations in our marketplace
    • Develop and propose Point of Sale purchases for area of responsibility
    • Manage all contracts with all On Premise Customers within assigned Territories.
      • Sell in and create new agreements.
      • Negotiate and Renew agreements about to expire and evaluate previous agreements.
      • Respond to all Bid’s/RFP’s.
    • Tracking and developing an ongoing ROI analysis of MBG assets.
      • All loaned MBG equipment.
      • All Full-Service Equipment.
      • Make recommendations for ROI improvement.
    • Manage Third Party Customers
      • Develop and track ROI on equipment loaned to third Party Customers.
    • Ensure execution for programs sold into Business and Industry segment.
      • Ensure the CDA elements are being executed in this segment.
      • Manage a regular call schedule to review business and sell programs.
    • Full Service
      • Bring in new accounts.
      • Maximize the profitability of existing accounts.
      • Monitor shortages/overages.
      • Ensure monthly reports and checks are being processed correctly.
      • Implement and execute a plan to improve the ROI to MBG, or have the equipment picked up.

    • Paperwork
      • Fill out all On Premise equipment requests. Send them by e mail. Allow at least two weeks for delivery / pick up.
      • Send new On Premise / Full-Service account set up information to Sales Admin by e mail. Allow at least 2 business days for set up.

Schedule

Normal hours will be Monday-Friday 8AM – 5PM. Occasional weekend and evening work will be required to execute MBG’s participation in selected festivals, special events or sampling opportunities. After-hours availability to customers via phone/ email is required on occasion, to manage and solve high profile customer issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to perform many tasks at the same time.
  • Good communication skills and ability to process change.
  • Good interpersonal skills and must be able to manage and motivate all levels of the workforce.
  • Must maintain good computer skills to include Microsoft Windows, Outlook, VIP and Margin Minder (sales software).
  • Understand basic accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of inventory control and warehousing procedures
  • Ability to manage an inventory system
  • Ability to comprehend policies & procedures

Success Measures

  • Ability to increase case sales volume and profit in Territory of responsibility
  • Minimize all operational expenses that relates to the receiving, loading and distribution of our product lines.
  • Promote and maintain a positive corporate image in Eastern North Carolina.
