Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Order Scheduling Specialist I-III based at our Greenville, NC location.
What you will do:
Manage order schedules from placement through shipment, ensuring accurate timing, sequencing, and alignment with production and delivery timelines
Coordinate with manufacturing, planning, and logistics teams to balance production capacity, lead times, and shipment timing, using data insights to support decisions
Process order changes (e.g., configurations, delivery dates, billing updates, and returns) while minimizing disruption to production schedules
Monitor order status using reporting tools and dashboards, identifying and resolving issues such as delays, credit holds, or shipment misalignment
Communicate updates clearly to internal teams and external partners, providing visibility into timelines, priorities, and exceptions
Ensure orders are consolidated appropriately to support efficient full truckload or container shipments
Leverage data analysis and emerging AI tools to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within order flow and scheduling performance
Support process improvements and special projects, using data-driven insights and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times
Level II Additions:
Independently manage a higher volume and complexity of orders with minimal oversight
Proactively identify risks and resolve more complex scheduling conflicts or exceptions
Partner cross-functionally to drive alignment and contribute to process improvements
Level III Additions:
Lead resolution of high-impact or complex scheduling issues across multiple orders or locations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within order management or logistics processes
Serve as a resource to the team by supporting training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
Provide reporting, analysis, and recommendations to support operational decisions

What you will need:
Level I:
Bachelor’s degree with 0-1 year of experience
Associate’s degree with 5+ years of experience
7-10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Level II:
Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of experience
Associate’s degree with 5+ years of experience
7-10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Level III:
Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of experience
Associate’s degree with 5-7 years of experience
7-10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Skills, Experience & Abilities
Experience with order management or ERP systems (SAP or similar), with an understanding of how system data supports analytics and decision-making
Understanding of order scheduling, order processing, and logistics operations, including data-driven planning and forecasting approaches
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data analysis tools and AI-assisted insights to resolve scheduling conflicts
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business tools, with experience using advanced features (e.g., Power BI, Power Query, or similar analytics platforms) to interpret and visualize data
Ability to use data and emerging AI tools to identify trends, monitor performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into clear business recommendations
Experience supporting process improvements or operational efficiencies, ideally using data analysis, automation, or AI-enabled solutions
Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams, using shared data and collaborative tools to drive alignment and informed decision-making
