Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and interpretation of comprehensive financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable management, cost accounting, and accrual accounting practices aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow analysis, investment management, and risk assessment to optimize liquidity and safeguard assets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and governmental accounting standards while maintaining adherence to ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Drive strategic planning initiatives by developing budgets, forecasts, and financial models that support organizational growth and operational efficiency.
- Conduct risk analysis to identify potential financial vulnerabilities and implement risk management strategies accordingly.
- Lead financial software implementation and oversee bookkeeping processes to streamline operations and improve data integrity.
- Supervise financial statement preparation, account analysis, cost control measures, and balance sheet reconciliation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business development projects, cost management strategies, and investment opportunities to foster sustainable growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial management roles with a strong background in corporate finance, governmental accounting, or non-profit accounting environments.
- Extensive knowledge of IAS (International Accounting Standards), IFRS, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), ASC 606 standards for revenue recognition, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk analysis, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Proficiency in financial software systems along with advanced skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable processing, and general ledger accounting.
- Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts such as cost accounting, revenue management, investment management, and cash flow analysis.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and interpreting complex data for diverse audiences.
- Relevant certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or equivalent are highly desirable.
