Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our hospitality team and oversee daily restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, culinary operations, and team leadership. This role requires a proactive approach to ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food quality standards, managing staff, and optimizing restaurant performance. The Restaurant Manager will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service quality, and customer experience.
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure high standards of hospitality and food safety.
  • Supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain efficient workflow and excellent service delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and oversee ordering processes using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and POS reconciliation.
  • Lead staff recruitment efforts by interviewing candidates and selecting qualified team members.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations to foster staff growth and improve service standards.
  • Coordinate with culinary staff to ensure consistent food quality across all menu offerings.
  • Manage shift operations effectively to maximize productivity while maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Develop strategies for upselling, promotions, and enhancing overall guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with all local regulations related to food safety, alcohol service (if applicable), and hospitality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or fine dining establishments.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management.
  • Familiarity with POS systems; experience with cash handling is essential.
  • Strong background in inventory control, food safety protocols, and food industry regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams in hospitality settings.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective staff training, customer interaction, and team collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and operational planning in a restaurant setting.
  • Culinary experience or hospitality management background is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in hotel or banquet settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
