- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards such as IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and ASC 606 revenue recognition guidelines.
- Lead risk analysis initiatives to identify potential financial vulnerabilities and implement effective risk management practices.
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow analysis, investment management, and liquidity planning to optimize financial resources.
- Supervise regulatory reporting processes to ensure compliance with governmental and non-profit accounting requirements.
- Provide strategic leadership in financial analysis, profit & loss management, cost control, and fiscal management to support organizational growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business development opportunities and strategic projects that enhance revenue streams and operational efficiency.
- Oversee internal controls, audit processes, and ensure accurate financial report writing and interpretation for stakeholders.
- Lead a high-performing finance team by fostering professional development, ensuring clarity in roles related to technical accounting, compliance management, and financial software utilization.
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS, IAS, GAAP, ASC 606 standards, and governmental accounting practices.
- Proven expertise in corporate finance, risk analysis, treasury management, and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of cost management techniques such as cost accounting and cost control measures.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools including financial report interpretation, forecasting models, budget development, and investment management.
- Experience with financial software systems for balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable processing, and account analysis.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while driving continuous improvement in financial processes.
- Deep understanding of compliance requirements for public accounting environments as well as non-profit organizations.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly through detailed report writing and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cash flow analysis, account reconciliation accuracy, and risk mitigation strategies.
