Position Summary
  • Provides comprehensive nursing care and care coordination for patients with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, STI management, and other infectious disease conditions in an outpatient setting.
  • Serves as a primary clinical resource for patient triage, symptom assessment, medication management, and treatment adherence support.
  • Coordinates patient care across multidisciplinary teams including providers, pharmacists, social workers, case managers, and community partners.
  • Reviews laboratory results and diagnostic testing, communicates provider recommendations, and ensures timely follow-up.
  • Administers medications, immunizations, and treatments as ordered.
  • Provides patient education related to disease prevention, medication compliance, health maintenance, and self-management.
  • Assists with population health initiatives, quality measures, and grant-related requirements.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities and supports clinic workflow and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Current license as a RN in the state of North Carolina.
  • BSN preferred
  • 2 or more years of nursing experience; ambulatory care experience preferred
  • Experience in infectious disease, HIV care, primary care, internal medicine, public health, or care coordination is preferred.
  • Demonstrates competencies in nursing practice.
  • Basic computer skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Range
  • Staff Nurse (outpatient) hourly range > $30.00 - $43.73
  • Final compensation is determined at the offer stage.

  • Location/Department: ECU Health Infectious Disease Clinic (outpatient) - Greenville, NC
  • This position is full-time (40hrs/week) - Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • No night, weekends, call or holidays
