Position Summary

The Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive medication management and assist with clinical oversight of assigned patient population. This role will promote coordinated, evidence-based care for patients throughout the health system to optimize cost-effective quality and safety outcomes. The Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for aiding in the education of healthcare professionals on pharmacotherapy management and serve as a resource and liaison for medication related issues as well as fostering and promoting the relationship between pharmacy and other healthcare professionals. This position will participate in formal precepting and mentoring for pharmacy students, residents and other trainees. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, or PharmD degree, or equivalent from accredited school of pharmacy is required.

2 years of relevant post-graduate clinical pharmacy experience, or PGY1 residency training (equal to 2 years of experience).

Must be licensed as a pharmacist by the NC Board of Pharmacy by start date.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Obtains continuing education credits as required by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
