Ophthalmic Technician III

Under supervision, the Ophthalmic Technician works with Ophthalmologists to provide patient care in a clean, well-lit office setting. Their responsibilities include preparing patients, performing exams and tests, administering medications and treatments, assisting with procedures, educating patients, maintain records, monitoring patients and maintaining equipment.
Minimum Requirements- 5 years and Certification from Joint Commission for Allied Health Personnel (JCAHPO) at the level of Certified Ophthalmic Assistant(COA) is required, or 7 years of experience required if not certified.
- High School plus specialized training.

- Fundus photography
- Ocular Coherence Tomography
- Automated and Manual Biometry
- Corneal Topography and Tomography
- Automated Visual Field testing
- Specular Microscopy
- Fluorescein and ICG angiography
- Ophthalmic Ultrasound/UBM testing
- Primary Shift: Day
- Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
- On Call: No
- Weekends: No
- IMPORTANT: This position is listed as an Ophthalmic Technician III, but based on the minimum requirements that are met, the candidate of choice will be hired as an Ophthalmic Technician I, II or III.
