Job Description

Position Summary

This position is primarily a clinical supervisor for hospital services and assures delivery of age-appropriate care. He/She/They function as the in-house hospital administrator communicating problems as applicable to hospital leadership. The role is responsible for Program Planning, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Quality Assurance, Staff Development, Collaboration with Medical Staff, Hospital Leadership, Hospital Departments, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age of the patient.

Assesses, intervenes in and evaluates department clinical needs by rounding throughout clinical areas.

Assists clinical team with emergent and urgent clinical situations.
Initiates, monitors and/or participates in program development, implementation, evaluation and revisions.

Promotes public relations to increase customer awareness of services provided.

Acts on behalf of the Hospital administrative staff to coordinate hospital services by making decisions that positively impact patient care.

Has the autotomy to implement decisions that are made and is the final authority in the hospital during the absence of the unit managers and administration.

Minimum Requirements

BSN or higher required

Unrestricted NC RN license required or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state Health Care Provider is required.

American Heart Association BLS is required.

3-5 years of clinical experience is required

Progressive leadership experience is required

Pay Range

$46.00 - $63.25

Other Information

36 hours per week. Rotating schedule.

Six to seven weekend shifts per schedule period.
