| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit | The Division of Student Affairs comprises over 30 departments, each responsible for providing various student support, services, and educational programs accessible to the university community. With over 300 full-time employees and over 1200 student workers, the Division supports Pirate success through environments that enhance student development, engagement, belonging, well-being, and career readiness. | Primary Purpose of Position | The Event Manager is a key member of the Central Reservations Office (CRO) team. This position provides critical leadership in executing daily event operations across high-impact campus venues on the Main Campus, the Student Center, and Student Center Lawn. Overseeing a student staff of approximately 40 – 80 Event Assistants depending on the campus, the Event Manager ensures events are executed efficiently, facilities are maintained to a high standard, and clients receive responsive, service-focused support. The Event Manager plays an essential role in advancing campus engagement by coordinating event logistics for student organizations, university departments, and external partners. This position will provide strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Event Manager serves as a primary operational contact for event clients and campus partners, ensuring that events are executed to the highest standards. |
