| Job Description | ECU Department of Campus Living is currently seeking several Conference Assistants. The Conference Assistant (CA) – is a part-time position during the summer with responsibilities that work with on-campus guests at East Carolina University. Conference Assistant Duties/Responsibilities – Hourly Rate · Inspect rooms prior to and after conferences, including distribution and collection linen · Manage meal cards, parking passes, and key inventory for summer guests · Perform summer camp and conference check-in and check-out duties · Utilize Iris software to track damages, lost keys, and other details important to camps and conferences · Hourly Rate: $10.00 per hour Conference Assistant Duties/Responsibilities – Pay and Housing Accommodations · Inspect rooms prior to and after conferences, including distribution and collection linen · Manage meal cards, parking passes, and key inventory for summer guests · Perform summer camp and conference check-in and check-out duties. · Utilize Iris software to track damages, lost keys, and other details important to camps and conferences · Be available in the evenings, weekdays and weekends, in the residence halls to help ensure safety/security of buildings and our camp participants. · Gold bucks, single room accommodation – depending on the needs of conference program Conference Assistants must also: · Report and follow-up on maintenance and housekeeping concerns as needed · Serve as positive University representatives on and off campus as well as online · Provide excellent customer service to camp and conference guests at East Carolina University · Participate in departmental initiatives · Understand and enforce University policies and procedures appropriately · Other duties as assigned As a result of being a student employee within the Division of Student Affairs, students will have the opportunity to gain the following competencies based on NACE Top Eleven Skills Employers Seek and CAS Learning Domains: • Effective Communication • Accountability/Integrity • Professionalism • Problem Solving/Effective Reasoning • Initiative • Teamwork • Adaptability/Resiliency • Organization/ Planning |
