Job Description
Third Street Academy – 600 W. 3rd Street, Greenville, NC 27834 – is currently seeking several Federal Work Study Students to serve as Principals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the classroom teacher with instructional tasks, preparation of materials, and classroom management.
  • Provide tutoring in reading, math, and other core subjects under the direction of the teacher.
  • Supervise and support students during independent work, transitions, and enrichment activities.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts introduced by the teacher.
  • Monitor student behavior and report concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and positive learning environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and school matters.
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s degree or working towards degree.
  • Prior experience working with children or in a school setting (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, flexibility, and a willingness to take direction
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Third Street Academy
