ECU School of Art is currently seeking several Textile Design Area Studio Assistants to maintain textile areas and fulfill the following duties:

General upkeep of all Textiles Labs:
-(223 / 227 / 229/ 210 / 212 / ‘208a’)

General cleaning of the Textile Design Studios
- sweeping as needed

- clean surfaces as needed

- dishes rotated and put away
- laundry rotated and put away (check lint trap)
Refill general consumables:
- soap, synthrapol, paper towels
- notify faculty when we are low on supplies

Clean and organize equipment:
- containers/tools: remove old labels, clean
- shelving: remove items and wipe surfaces
- scrub sinks (including spray booth)
- scrub backsplashes (walls around sinks and heating surfaces)

Assist faculty/graduate assistant with studio maintenance:

- unpacking inventory

- discarding packing materials, recycle cardboard, etc.

- organization of material/supplies in 229

The hourly rate for this position is $10.00.

Textile majors are preferred.
