POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Generalist supports the day-to-day Human Resources operations for INOX Solar Americas. This position serves as a resource for employees and managers while helping ensure consistent application of company policies, accurate employee records, compliance with federal and state employment laws, and effective HR processes.
The HR Generalist will work closely with management and employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will support employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, attendance, HRIS/payroll processes, training, performance management, and other HR activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and supervisors.
- Provide guidance regarding company policies, procedures, attendance, workplace conduct, and employee concerns.
- Support employee relations matters, including investigations, coaching, corrective action, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel records.
- Ensure employee information is properly maintained in the HRIS and other HR systems.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, selection, and hiring activities.
- Coordinate pre-employment screening, background checks, and required hiring documentation.
- Support new-hire onboarding and orientation.
- Ensure required employment documentation, including Form I-9 and E-Verify processes, is completed accurately and timely.
- Assist with employee transfers, promotions, job changes, and other employment status changes.
- Assist with benefits enrollment, employee questions, qualifying life events, and benefits administration.
- Support leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and other applicable leave programs.
- Monitor attendance and assist with attendance-related issues.
- Assist with payroll processes by reviewing employee information, timekeeping, attendance, overtime, and other payroll-related changes.
- Maintain accurate employee status, compensation, department, position, and organizational information.
- Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, audits, and other requested documentation.
- Assist with employee separations, including termination documentation, exit procedures, and final employment records.
- Support unemployment claims and employment verification requests.
- Assist with workplace investigations and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with required employment postings, notices, and HR compliance activities.
- Support internal HR audits and recordkeeping requirements.
- Assist with performance management processes, including performance reviews and performance improvement plans.
- Coordinate and track required employee training.
- Support safety and workplace initiatives in partnership with management and Safety personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, payroll, benefits, and company information.
- Promote a professional, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
- Perform other HR duties as assigned.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
- Respond to employee questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
- Assist managers with employee performance and conduct issues.
- Conduct or assist with workplace investigations.
- Document employee relations matters appropriately.
- Maintain confidentiality throughout the investigation and resolution process.
- Ensure disciplinary actions are applied consistently and in accordance with company policy.
- Escalate significant or complex employee relations matters to HR leadership.
RECRUITING & ONBOARDING
- Post and maintain job openings on approved recruiting platforms.
- Screen applicants and coordinate interviews.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Coordinate background checks and pre-employment requirements.
- Prepare new-hire paperwork and onboarding materials.
- Conduct or assist with new-hire orientation.
- Coordinate new employee system access and departmental onboarding.
- Ensure required employment documentation is completed accurately.
HRIS & RECORDKEEPING
- Maintain accurate employee information in the HRIS.
- Process employee changes, including promotions, transfers, department changes, pay changes, and terminations.
- Audit employee records for accuracy.
- Maintain confidential personnel files.
- Ensure HR records are retained according to company policy and applicable legal requirements.
- Generate reports for management and HR leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of progressive HR experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or production HR experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and managers at all organizational levels.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting a high-volume manufacturing workforce.
- Experience with hourly employees, shift employees, and attendance management.
- Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
- Experience with employee investigations and corrective action.
- Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and leave administration.
- Experience with recruiting and high-volume hiring.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

- Walk through production areas.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.

- Occasionally work outside normal business hours to support employee and production needs.
