The Supplier Development for Boviet Solar Cell Technology North Carolina will help in first place to bridge the technical request with the supplier capabilities to then make sure there is a gap closure.

Supplier development is working collaboratively with critical, strategic and high-potential suppliers to improve their capabilities and competitiveness in the areas of cost, quality, time and technology for the mutual benefit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scan, screen, evaluate and develop current and new suppliers by various means according to the strategic plan and work plan
  • Collect the latest information of market technology and apply it to the needs of the company
  • Be the bridge between technical department and quality for new material sampling and qualification
  • Track the supplier quality performance and organize quality review to improve the performance
  • Monitor and improve supplier, supply chain & value stream performance, and mitigate risk associated with new and existing suppliers globally

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of procurement experience in Quality, with at least 2 years working with suppliers
  • Experience in the solar, renewable energy, or manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing.
  • Understand the basic characteristics and requirements of Quality (solar experience is a plus);
  • Familiar with quality practice and quality standards;
  • Proficient in computer and office software (excel, etc);
  • Proficient presentation skills
  • Domestic and occasionally international travel may be required for supplier visits and industry events.
